\nAfter four successful editions, the fifth edition of the VDHP Video Biennial is now underway at Van der Helstplein Etalages in Amsterdam. Video works by fifteen artists are on display in twelve windows.
\n 
\nA mourning ritual, a dog\u2019s gaze, a rebellious animation, a vanitas installation, a couple in a headlock, a sneaky peek, an animation in which mouths try to form words, an eternal thread, an abstract representation of a window in a mirrored cabinet, an animation of digital images, feet that scroll, hands that push a face into various shapes, objects thrown on a table, and a portrait of steaming sauna visitors.
\n 
\nVideo art in public space, freely accessible, yet intimate thanks to its small size. You can walk by and pause for a moment, catch a glimpse of what\u2019s happening behind the windows, or completely disappear into another world, right in the middle of the street.
